Alkimos Eglinton District Project

The Alkimos Eglinton District Project incorporates collaborative planning and infrastructure development between the three major landowners and their development partners within the Alkimos Eglinton coastal locale some 40 kilometres north of the Perth CBD. The AE Project commenced in 1996 and initially undertook an innovative master planning exercise to contemporise the Metropolitan Region Scheme for the district and to facilitate the relocation of the Alkimos Waste Water Treatment Plant. Through a series of stakeholder workshops the district structure plan was endorsed by the Western Australian Planning Commission in September 2009. This plan sets down the primary land-use components for the Alkimos Eglinton area, embracing around 2,700 hectares for an anticipated residential population of 60,000 people (around 25,000 dwelling units) and includes the Alkimos regional centre, the Eglinton district centre, three coastal activity nodes, a marina and over eight kilometres of coastline.

We have project managed the completion of the district Development Contribution Plan with a total cost of around $75M, delivering facilities over a 20 year period.
